RTP is a fairly new organization but has already taken part in various projects. For example, our members have already conducted a very successful “grassroots diplomacy” campaign in May 2007, which consisted of sending 14 Iranian cyclists across five European countries and the United States to convey and disseminate Iranian people's call for peace, friendship, and integration to the world community. During their three-months-long journey, not only were our cyclists warmly received by a significant number of European and American citizens within local communities, but were also greatly acclaimed by state officials, mayors, representatives, cultural, religious, artistic and national personalities in every city along their way. During their trip, our members conducted various interviews with media outlets, participated in different press conferences and delivered speeches in numerous community centers, universities and institutes in order to reach out to a vast range of people and address their concerns. Our cyclists were recipient of many honorific distinctions from their host countries and from different organizations. They namely received the United Nation’s peace medal from UNESCO’s president of the General Conferenceduring an official ceremony in Paris.

The mentioned project (Miles for Peace) is a revealing example of the kind of short-term activity RTP wishes to pursue in the future.
